Are you getting enough Sodium Benzoate in your diet ?

As I pressed the "Publish " button on the keyboard yesterday after posting this post , an advert for toothpaste came on the television. This one :

Because I had just been writing about food ingredients, and because I spend much of my time lately reading about them, I looked at the Aquafresh website  and the ingredients on each type of toothpaste.
(I have to say I thought that Aquafresh was just that, but it appears that there are at least 7 differents types by this one company)

Extra Fresh® + Whitening

So what about the Active and Inactive Ingredients ?

Active Ingredients :  Sodium monofluorophosphate  (MFP) functions as a source of fluoride which protects tooth enamel from attack by bacteria that cause dental cavities.

Sounds fine. That is usually the reason that we brush our teeth

Inactive Ingredients : Sorbitol - a sugar alcohol with a sweet taste
Calcium carbonate - an abrasive intended to polish the teeth and remove plaque
